Now on Primetime Bashing the Poor

Angry Person.
Before I say a word please read this important appeal
call on Iain Duncan Smith to prove his claim to be able to live on £7.57 a day, or £53 a week, by doing so for one year.
Like most cabinet ministers he ignores the public will

Possibly due to my admonishments some of faith have found their calling once again;
four churches accused politicians and the media of promoting six myths about the poor: that they are lazy; that they are addicted to drink or drugs; that they are not really poor; that they cheat the system; that they have an easy life; and that they caused the deficit*
In the interests of fairness I have let the government have their say
On the one hand we've got the churches accusing us of savage cuts, and on the other hand the rightwing papers saying: 'What? They haven't gone far enough. They're only slowing the rate of growth of spending'. I think that gives you a bit of context," Churches accuse ministers of perpetuating myths about poverty
I believe this loosely translates as 'yes it is a bit beastly but you should have heard what the wanted us to do'. Of course those deeply schooled in conspiracy theory will see the hand of Problem, Reaction, Solution taking us ever closer to the precipice so it's only fair to let others have their say on this delicate matter even if they are clearly communist rats.

 Rich cabinet with no empathy for the poor

 ...I think the appeal to civic values is misplaced. I work with high-risk offenders, and I see in this cabinet individuals who display identical deficiencies in empathy, and who have no consideration for the more disadvantaged or the consequences of their actions...appealing to their rationality and goodwill is a less appropriate way forward than understanding their psychopathology...their empathic side is nonexistent Guardian Letters Joanna Hughes Cheltenham, Gloucestershire
...Instead of exhorting a government of millionaires to be fair and protect the poor, surely such renowned people should lay bare that fairness and protection is the last thing such a government will ever wish to achieve. Gordon Teal University of Leeds
 Despite everything that has happened over the last two years, Rupert Murdoch, Lord Rothermere and the other media barons still seem to be running the country. Their relentless propaganda, using exceptional and shocking cases to characterise an entire social class, remains highly effective. Divide and rule is as potent as it has ever been. "With a most inhuman cruelty, they who have put out the people's eyes reproach them of their blindness. Communism, welfare state – what's the next big idea?
 * this last myth is a riddle wrapped in an enigma but is best summed up as it's all labour's fault.
